In winter, Rokytnice nad Jizerou turns into the centre of skiing in the western Giant Mountains. The town is alive with winter atmosphere, full of mountain pubs and aprés-ski bars, yet it retains its cosy character. Our apartments have an exceptional location right on the slopes – you walk out of the house and you are right on the slope. The Horní Domky Ski Resort offers wide, well-groomed slopes, modern lifts and beautiful views from Lysá hora. The Rokytnice nad Jizerou Ski Resort is one of the largest in the Czech Republic and thanks to its slopes of various difficulty levels it is one of the most popular places for experienced and beginner skiers. Cross-country skiers will appreciate the groomed tracks towards Rezek and further to the Krkonoše ridge. For ski mountaineers, Rokytnice is an obvious choice and there is no need to introduce it, you put on the harness in front of the house and hurrah up to the Krakonoš kingdom. After a day in the snow, you can take a walk through Rokytnice, visit the local bakery or enjoy a hot drink in one of the cafés. Rokytnice nad Jizerou is a picturesque mountain town surrounded by wooded hills and peaks of the western Giant Mountains. In summer it comes alive with hiking, cycling and cultural events. From here, hike to the source of the Elbe, to Rezek with its beautiful mountain meadows, or up to the ridge with views of Sněžka. The local nature trails are suitable for families with children, who can also find a rope centre, playgrounds or a bobsleigh track. Rokytnice itself offers pleasant cafés, patisseries and restaurants with terraces where you can enjoy regional specialties after your excursions. In the evening, watch the sun set over the forests from the apartment’s terrace and enjoy the tranquillity of the mountain surroundings.

Thanks to its location, Rokytnice nad Jizerou is a great starting point for cycling trips throughout the Krkonoše and Podkrkonoší Mountains. Families with children, who can choose easier routes through the Jizera valley, as well as experienced bikers, who will go on ridge circuits through Harrachov, Horní Mísečky or Dvoračky. You can also try the option to take your bike up the cable car and enjoy the long ride down. The local bikepark is one of the most popular in the Czech Republic and offers tracks of varying difficulty. In Rokytnice itself you will find bike and e-bike rentals, bicycle services and a number of places to stop for refreshments during the trip. In the evening, the apartment provides a comfortable base for relaxing and planning your next route.
